Funeral Arrangements

While not the happiest of events, we will help you with all aspects of funeral arrangements ~ all with the greatest of decorum and sensitivity.

During this most difficult time we can handle everything for you, taking some of the stress away and leaving you more time to spend with family & friends.

  • We will liaise with the Funeral Home to ensure that all your needs and wishes are honoured
  • Newspaper announcements & notification
  • Make arrangements for viewing and open-house activities, including catering
  • If wished we can be present during the visitation time at home, at the funeral home or church to ensure that everything runs smoothly
  • Discuss the type of service with the family (religious, military, non-denominational) and make any necessary arrangements
  • Liaise with family over order of service, music and other tributes
  • Print the order of service, personalized for your loved one
  • Assist in writing the eulogy or find a suitable poem or verse
  • Cards, floral tributes and guests register
  • Arrange suitable venue for the wake, including catering/bar
  • Receiving of remains from funeral home
  • Follow through later to assist with scattering of ashes or memorial service.

Administration Assistance
We can take care of all the necessary but difficult tasks such as:

  • Send thank you notes expressing gratitude for flowers, attendance, donations and special assistance
  • Commence estate proceedings. Whether small or extensive depends on the size of the estate and the existence of a will and living trust
  • Liaise with the Executor of the will or the deceased person’s solicitor to handle paperwork concerning wills, living wills or probate
  • Accounting procedures for all assets and debts of the deceased
  • We will contact the appropriate organisations to close accounts, cancel subscriptions & insurance, re-direct mail and many more of the tasks that you may not have the strength or the time to take on.
